Le Moulin de Connezac

History

Le Moulin dates back to 1429, operating as a Water Mill until last century. We also have the Petit Moulin down the garden with the sluice gate to control the 2 streams.

Facilities

The house sleeps 8 people with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a further toilet. There is a garden room, snug TV room, open kitchen and dining area and a formal dining/ hobbies room. We provide bed linen and towels.

Owner

Jacqui Gray is the owner of Le Moulin. She has spent many years in Asia working in the clothing industry. She has a passion for fabrics and textures along with numerous sports to be fit.

Things to do

Cycling
We have bikes at the house.

Horse riding
The stables are less than 2 km away.

Walking
Walks through the lovely countryside.

Canoeing
From Brantôme on the River Drone.

Swimming
We have a natural pool behind Le Petit Moulin if you fancy a dip on hot days.

 

Shopping
Visiting the local markets and discovering Brocante ( 2nd hand places)

Gardening
You are also most welcome to garden if you like trimming or cutting plants! Feel free to take a rose cutting.

Fishing
You can fish in the stream at the house.

Exploring
Explore the castles.

 

Near by

The Closest village with shops is Mareuil (5km)providing:

  • 3 boulangerie’s, a butchers

  • 2 supermarkets

  • An excellent regional wine shop

  • 2 cafe’s and a pub

  • It also has a castle ruin and a lovely church

  • Market day is Tuesday (am only)

Other nearby towns are Brantôme, Perigeaux, Aubeterre and Riberac.
